Diane Leneghan Tomb

Senior Advisor

Diane Leneghan Tomb serves as a Senior Advisor to Municipal Acquisitions. In this role, she works closely with the Municipal Acquisitions leadership to identify private investment opportunities in partnership with public entities, as well as to manage targeted outreach efforts on behalf of the firm.


From 2011-2013 Ms. Tomb served as the President and CEO of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). NAWBO is the largest trade association representing women entrepreneurs in the US.  In this role, she was the chief advocate supporting pro-business policy initiatives for women business owners in the nation’s Capital and State Capitals across the country. She was also responsible for fundraising and developing programs that navigate women entrepreneurs through various stages of business growth.


Ms. Tomb is the Chief Executive Officer of Tomb & Associates LLC, a business advisory firm she founded in 2003. Tomb & Associates has provided a wide range of public affairs and strategic counsel services to clients such as the National Association of Realtors, Clark Realty Capital and British Airways.  Ms. Tomb has served in high level government positions and on national and statewide political campaigns.  Previously, she was Senior Vice President at the Fannie Mae Foundation, the largest foundation focused on housing and community development and has served on the Board of the Terwilliger Center on Workforce Housing at the Urban Land Institute.


Ms. Tomb is an adjunct professor at Georgetown University and is currently serving on the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Commission on Political Reform. From 1986-1992, Ms. Tomb held positions in the Reagan and Bush White House.


Ms. Tomb received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and History from Mount Saint Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. She served as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Mount Saint Mary’s University (2004-2008).  She is married and resides in Virginia with her husband and three children.
